40th Wedding Anniversary!

No, not mine! That will be awhile...

My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday and we had a small get together at our place. I would have loved to have a huge party for them (my husband and I LOVE to host parties), but we were not sure whether our yard would be done in time. I hope to post pics of our yard and it's progression later. A story for another day...

My parents are the most giving and supportive people that I know. I am blessed to have them in my life; and my girls are so lucky to be able to enjoy them.

The littlest one is not mine. Ava is my beautiful 6 month old niece!

There is a purse giveaway!!

I love finding giveaways and when I do, I will post them on my blog! Go to Uptown Design Studio and enter to win a beautiful pleated handbag or a modern camera strap. I actually found this giveaway because I am eyeing the bags at A Touch of Stardust. Maybe I will treat myself since my birthday will be here soon (just two more months :) )!

Good luck!

My first trade!

Not long after I put my Freshwater Pearl Circle Necklace up on etsy, another seller on etsy, Alis, contacted me. She wanted to see if I was interested in trading my necklace for one of her beautiful tops. I have never done a trade before but had heard that it is common among etsy sellers. Below is what I received in my trade. I am very happy with my first trade experience and my new shirt. I can't wait until it's cooler so that I can wear it. Thanks Alis!

First try!

I have been getting over a nasty flu the past few days and do I miss creating! Yesterday I made a circle with sterling silver wire and freshwater pearls. Not bad for my first time, huh? I was really proud of myself! *pat on the back* My biggest fan, my mom, really loved it too. I am going to make one in gold filled for her. But don't tell her... :) If you would like to purchase this item, please visit my shop!

Been busy!!

I have been busy creating! Soon after I put the littlest one to sleep, my hubby usually takes care of our oldest, I get busy on making beautiful jewelry! I wish I could wear and keep everything. I get so excited that I usually start something but will leave it to start another. It's just all so much fun.

I am working with a little more gold filled, so you will see more gold filled items popping up in my creations. I am also thinking of purchasing ruby quartz soon. It is supposed to be hot for the fall. Trends do not matter too much to me though, but I do love the color red.

I have added four new listings to my etsy shop. The orange carnelian earrings I loved so much I am going to keep them and make another set. I love the beautiful orange color and these stones are an exceptional quality. No inclusions, just a beautiful orange color throughout the briolette.

Enjoy!

Free earrings!!

Yes, free earrings! I am offering free earrings for all purchases made on my etsy site. I currently have six different pairs available and hope to add more soon. This offer is good on all purchases, including listings that include "free matching earrings." Wow!

This offer is for a limited time...although at the moment I do not have an end date. At the moment I am feeling generous!

Who me??

Me, a website, a blog??!! That would have been my reaction a few months ago. But look at me now. Making jewelry has become a great passion of mine! I would make things for family, friends, and myself. But there were times when I would have ideas or be inspired and I would make, and make, and make…I needed to do something about it. I have been blessed with the support and encouragement from many people and well, here I am.

I wanted to start a blog to share my inspirations and thoughts on the pieces that I make…give a little life to the jewelry…I hope you enjoy it. I hope you get inspired, as I have become seeing all the beautiful work of the many other fellow craftsters.

I wanted to share a bridal set that I made for a beautiful and energetic bride Maria. When we first met, she was so excited about what I was going to create. Here are a few pictures. If I manage to take a picture of her wearing the pieces I will post it!

And of course I have to add pics of my little Lucia who loves everything mama makes...
